| Golden Knights announce playoff send-off, watch party |
| The Vegas Golden Knights announced the organization's plans for fan activations this weekend, as well as the team's official watch party for Game 1 of the First Round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Golden Knights will hold two special events centered around the team's 11 a.m. practices Saturday and Sunday at City National Arena. As always, team practices are open to the public and free of charge. Everyone's favorite mascot welcomes fans to celebrate the postseason on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. Activations will include a DJ, a poster-making station, giveaways and free food and drink provided by Taco Bell and MacKenzie River Pizza, Grill & Pub. |

| NHL Playoff Power Rankings: Golden Knights lead stacked field in title defense |
| After 1,312 games, the 2023-24 NHL regular-season has finally reached its conclusion. If there had been PRs last season, the Florida Panthers likely would have begun in the bottom-three. When the dust settled, they were three wins away from a Stanley Cup. It goes to show that anything can happen in a seven-game series, and all regular-season storylines are out the window once the puck drops in the playoffs. |

| The Stars and Golden Knights Meet Again |
| Earlier this week, I asked Stars general manager Jim Nill about the Vegas Golden Knights, about the defending Stanley Cup champions and how they've used long-term injured reserve more aggressively than any other NHL team. For a quick refresher, Vegas played a majority of the season without its captain, Mark Stone, and used the long-term injured reserve to bolster itself at the deadline. Stone, who had a lacerated spleen, started practicing this week and is expected to make his return for the playoffs. In a rematch of the 2023 Western Conference Finals, the Stars and Golden Knights will meet in the first round of a seven-game series that starts Monday in Dallas. |

| Gauthier, Dostál, and Vatrano Star for Ducks in Season Finale Win |
| Well, is it fair to say that the Anaheim Ducks had the Vegas Golden Knights' number this 2023-24 regular season? After their season-opening loss on Oct. 14 to the reigning Stanley Cup champions, the Ducks outscored the Golden Knights 13-5 and took the final three games of the season series. The wins were three of the Ducks' best performances of the season. The Golden Knights had a, for lack of a better word, golden opportunity to seal up third place in the Pacific Division. |

| Oilers' Knoblauch Must Avoid Previous Coaching Staff's Playoff Errors |
| In 2022-23, Jay Woodcroft coached the Edmonton Oilers to a 50-23-9 record. In the second round, however, they lost to the Vegas Golden Knights in six games, and coaching played a pivotal role in the series. Golden Knights head coach Bruce Cassidy outdueled Woodcroft with smart line-matching and an effective game plan to exploit the Oilers' defensive system. After starting the season 3-9-1, the Oilers replaced Woodcroft with Kris Knoblauch, who has coached the team to a 46-17-5 record since taking over. |

| Golden Knights enter playoffs trying to figure out starting goalies between Thompson and Hill |
| Golden Knights coach Bruce Cassidy said he is still trying to figure out how to handle the goalie situation, whether to play both or whether to hand the bulk of the work to one over the other. Logan Thompson and Adin Hill each have compelling cases to be in the net when Vegas begins its Stanley Cup title defense. Cassidy has split the starts down the stretch, and Thompson has been the better goaltender of late, but Hill's play in last year's postseason was a major reason the Knights now have a championship banner hanging in T-Mobile Arena. |

| Tomas Hertl scored on a deflection 1:23 into overtime as the Vegas Golden Knights, behind a pair of goals by William Karlsson, rallied from a three-goal, third-period deficit to defeat the Colorado Avalanche 4-3 on Sunday afternoon in Las Vegas. Hertl, stationed in front of the crease, redirected Jack Eichel's shot from the left point inside the right post for the game-winner. Hertl's goal came on a power play after Colorado defenseman Josh Manson picked up a high-sticking penalty on Eichel with 11.2 seconds left in regulation. |
