Pospisil offers words of support for former Flames teammate Ruzicka
Calgary Flames forward Martin Pospisil wants a former teammate to know that he is there for him in some difficult times. In an interview with Slokavian news site Hetrik SK, the 24-year-old rookie said that he had been keeping tabs on former teammate and countryman Adam Ruzicka, who had his contract terminated by the Arizona Coyotes earlier this season. The NHL's Arizona Coyotes may soon relocate. Gov. Lamont says 'Connecticut is ready'
The Arizona Coyotes may be forced to relocate if a land auction scheduled for June fails, and Gov. Ned Lamont said Connecticut's capital is ready to become their new home. While it is still unclear whether the NHL team will need to relocate and if so, where, Hartford has been without a NHL team since the Hartford Whalers left the city in 1997. Relocation is possible if Coyotes can't find new arena: report
It looks like the NHL is starting to run out of patience with the Arizona Coyotes. After a decade-long struggle to find stable ownership and an arena to play in, the league appears to be giving the Coyotes one last chance to figure things out. Current owner Alex Merulo hopes to win an auction that would secure the team a 95-acre area in Phoenix to construct a new arena. Winning the auction would secure the team's long-term future in Arizona, but if they lose, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman says that relocation could finally be a real possibility.
